GPL PREVIEW: Hearts of Oak to Engage WAFA in a Fiesty duel on Monday

Hearts of Oak will engage West African Football Academy (WAFA) in a fiesty Week 14 Premier League contest at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

The Capital Club are unbeaten at Home in the current league season. They have won four and drawn two of their six Home ties.

Moreso, Frank Nuttal's men have hit the back of the net ten times at Home and have conceded five so far this season.

West African Football Academy, On the other hand, have been terrific away from Home this term. Of five away games, the Academy Boys boast of three wins, one draw, one defeat and will hope to maintain this fine form when they battle it out with the Phobians at their own backyard.

Hearts of Oak have met WAFA six times (three) at Home since the name was changed from Feyenoord, winning two and drawing the other.

The Phobians have won one and drawn one of their last two Home games (Bechem 4-2, Elmina Sharks 1-1), while the Academy Boys beat both opponents away, (1-0 and 2-1) respectively.

The last time the two sides met at the Accra Sports Stadium, it ended one apiece.

Hearts currently lie in fourth with 20 points, while WAFA are firmly rooted on top of the league log with 29 points.

Thomas Abbey is Hearts of Oak's topscorer with five goals whilst Daniel Agbloe is WAFA's highest scorer with also five goals.

Out-of-form Asante Kotoko, will look to put their Anniversary Cup disappointment behind them as they travel to Accra to face Great Olympics at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Saturday with Mid-Table Ebusua Dwarfs welcoming rocked-bottom Ashanti Gold to the Cape Coast Stadium.

In other Premier League Fixtures, Liberty Professionals will aim to respond to their 2-1 narrow defeat against WAFA in Sogakope, a fortnight ago as they host Tema Youth at the Alhaji Sly-Tetteh Park in Dansoman whereas Wa All Stars rub shoulders with Bechem United at the Malik Jabr Stadium in Wa.

Elsewhere, Berekum Chelsea will look to deny Aduana Stars the opportunity to occupy the topspot when both shrug it out at the Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa as Medeama SC come up against Elmina Sharks at the Tarkwa T and A Park.

Inter Allies will hope to plunge debutants, Bolga All Stars deeper into the relegation zone when both clash at the El-wak Sports Stadium in Accra.
