Accra Great Olympics veteran defender, Dan Quaye says they are in a better form than they were two seasons ago.

The Wonder Club secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League after beating Mighty Jets 2-1 on Sunday in Teshie in a Zone 3 match to win the top spot with one match left.

However, the story could have been different for them. James Asare put Mighty Jets ahead in the first half but two goals from Maxwell Quaye gave Olympics the victory and a place in the elite division.

Great Olympics had to fight off competition in the zone from former Premier League campaigners, Heart of Lions and Okyeman Planners, which is owned by GFA Vice President, George Afriyie.

Olympics will be making a quick return to the elite division after just a season in the second-tier league.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, Dan Quaye said, “I know very well that we have had challenges in the past but we are really good this time around than we were some few seasons ago.

“The players are very delighted that it’s all coming out very well for us but that is football.

“We have a very young team but we need to add some experience and we will be very good.” He added.
