Hearts Assistant Coach Henry Wellington praises performance of midfielder Daniel Kordie in Medeama defeat

Assistant Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Henry Welington has praised the performance of midfielder Daniel Kordie in the 1-0 defeat to Medeama over the weekend.

The midfielder who was returning to the squad after missing out on a lot of games due to his inability to break into the starting was outstanding in an offensive role.

Daniel Kordie played behind Accra Hearts of Oak’s forwards in the game in Tarkwa and he excelled earning the praises of Coach Wellington.

“[Daniel] Kordie, you know for a very long time he has not been playing, but all the same he did very well today [against Medeama] and that is what we want,” Wellington told accraheartsofoaksc.com.

“If Mr. A is not there, you can use Mr. B so kudos to Kordie, he did very well [and showed his quality].”

The player showed class as the Phobians dominated the first half and was nominated by the club for the FERO Man of the match award.

He faces competition from Vincent Atinga, Patrick Razak and Samudeen Ibrahim.

The Phobians lost out on the title to Aduana Stars but are in the finals of the FA Cup where they face arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Meanwhile, Hearts will end the premier league season against Inter Allies on Sunday.
