NASCO Player for the month of July Thomas Abbey has revealed the award will motivate him to do his best in the Ghana Premier League following his sensational form this season.
The Accra Hearts of Oak captain beat off competition from Elmina Sharks’ player Felix Addo and Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea to win the award.
The midfielder score four goals in the month of July together with winning two man of the match awards, but has indicated the accolades inspires him to do more.
“The feeling is great, it’s every players dream to win this award. This will encourage do more so that I can double up my effort as the season nears end,” he told Asempa FM.
Abbey’s form has attracted interest all over with South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns reported to be interested in the player.
The 24 year old is part of the Black Stars team B is expected to make the trip with the team as the face the Stallions of Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifiers.
