Accra Heartsof Oak have confirm assistant Coach Henry Wellington as the interim Coach ahead of the start of the 2017/18 season.
The Coach is expected to lead the team for the new campaign after officially parting ways with Scottish trainer Frank Nuttal.
Frank Nuttal was sacked following his involvement in the departure of some of the clubs best players. Nuttal was suspended after admitting to misconduct.
Coach Henry Wellington has been in charge of the team in preseason and led the team to a friendly win over Swedru All Blacks on Sunday.
The club released a statement indicating the team has chosen to stick with Wellington as interim Coach.
“Effective, immediately, Assistant Coach, Henry Lamptey Wellington, has been asked to take charge of the first team duties and will serve as Interim Head Coach until further notice.”
The experienced Coach would be assisted by former Tema Youth Coach, Edward Nii Odoom.
