Hearts defender Vincent Atinga delighted by Black Stars call-up

Accra Hearts of Oak defender Vincent Atinga says he is happy to gain a call up into the Black Stars team B.

The 21 year old has been impressive in the Ghana Premier League and could not escape the lenses of the technical team of the national team.

Atinga was invited by Coach of the team, Kwesi Appiah, to help beef up the defence of the team following their 2-2 draw with the local stallions of Burkina Faso in the first leg of the CHAN qualifiers.

“Everything at camp is good, I am happy to be part of the team and this is the right time for my call up,” says the 21-year-old defender after his invitation.

“This my first and hope for better days ahead, coach will decide whether can be part of the final 18 and to start in the game.”

The former Ebusua Dwarfs player joins the rest of the squad in Pampram as they continue with preparations for the second leg qualifier.
