Administrative manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Hack Aidoo has revealed the club will not appeal the red card of Captain Thomas Abbey.

The midfielder was red carded in the game against Wa All Stars for comments made to referee Yaw Ametepeh, which left the club and its fans furious.

However, Hackman Aidoo says the club has no intention of appealing the referees decision but were displeased by his performance.

“We don’t have any plans of appealing against the red card,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.

“We’ve also engaged the player not to react to everything that comes from the referee but what the referee said according to the player and collaborated by other players on the pitch is most unprofessional,” he added.

Thomas Abbey has been one of the decent players in the Ghana Premier League and the red card came as a shock to many.

The rainbow club will be without their leading goal scorer in the game against Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday.

Hearts have an outside chance of winning the league, despite trailing Aduana 7 points and with three games to end the season.

Abbey has scored thirteen times in the League and his loss will be a big blow to the former Ghana Premier League champions.
