Hearts of Oak and Co. owe me close to GHC 103,000

Former head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo who has served in Ghana football for 38 years, has revealed that a sum of GHC 103,000 is owed him by some clubs and the government.

The 65 year old trainer who led the Phobians to Premier league glory in 2002 but failed to make an impact during 2014/2015 season, claims the club owe him an accumulated amount of GHC 11,000 as signing on fee and salaries.

Herbert Addo after chalking success with Hearts also went on to win the league title with Aduana Stars whom he also claim they owe him GHC 70,000 for signing on fee and salaries.

The experienced coach who also had a short stint with the Ghana Local Black Stars leading them in a CHAN tournament in 2010 revealed the Government of Ghana also owe him between GHC 14,000 - GHC 17,000 for his services.

Inter Allies, a club Addo made prominent, is also on the debtors list as the Tema based team is said to have owed the trainer a sum of GHC 5,000.

“Ghanaian clubs as well as Ghana government owe me and are not showing any signs to redeem these payments.

Hearts-11,000 cedis Aduana-70,000 Inter Allies-5,000 and CHAN(Govt)-around 14,000 to 17000.” He told Nhyira FM.

Herbert Addo, stated that he might take legal action very soon if the named parties fail to pay him sooner.

Coach Herbert Addo has retired from football after winning the Ghana Premier League five times with four different clubs.
