Accra Hearts of Oak have received a whooping GHC 50,000 prize money after beating winning the Ghana @60 Cup match last year.

The Rainbow club defeated their bitterest rivals in the ceremonial match stage in a two legged affair. They beat the Porcupine Warriors 3-1 in Accra before ensuring victory with a goalless draw in Kumasi.

Following the win, the organizers of the competition delivered their promise of rewarding the winners with GHC 50,000.

The Club received the cheque which will aid preparations ahead of the new season, which begins in February.

Accra Hearts of Oak ended last season third on the Premier League and lost in the FA Cup finals to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Coach Frank Nuttal has beefed his side with the signing of Christopher Bonney and Fatawu Mohammed, who extended his contract with the club on Monday.
