Accra Hearts of Oak will host newly promoted Karela FC in the opening game of the 2018 GHALCA G-8 tournament at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on 6th January, 2018.
The Phobians will be facing the Nzema-based side for the first time ever in the off-season competition.
Karela FC swept to the title in their zone to seal qualification to the Ghana Premier League breaking a host of records along the way.
Hearts finished third in the Ghana Premier League season and were losing finalists in the 2017 MTN FA CUP.
The Phobians will be hoping to start 2018 on a bang by aiming to annex the maiden G-8 tournament.
Hearts will also face Dwarfs and WAFA in the group stage.
