Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes felt his side had given a real statement of intent by thrashing Borussia Dortmund 6-0 at the Allianz Arena.
The men from Munich are within touching distance of a sixth successive Bundesliga title, but showed no signs of letting up as they put Dortmund to the sword, roaring into a five-goal lead by half-time of Der Klassiker.
The team was very focused and we needed to send out a statement of intent.

And Heynckes was delighted with the performance, with Bayern setting themselves up perfectly for their midweek Champions League quarter-final first leg clash with Sevilla in Spain.
He told the club's official website: "It's always difficult to recover your rhythm after an international break, but we did a very good job.
"Our plan was to win the game because we had to lay down another marker. The team was very focused and we needed to send out a statement of intent.
"The team turned in an outstanding display over 90 minutes, they turned in a gala display in the first 45 minutes. We made the most of our tactical and technical dominance."
Ex-Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski was the chief tormentor for Bayern on Saturday, as he completed a hat-trick against his former club - his second treble in his last four Bundesliga appearances.
He now has 26 goals in the German top-flight this season, twice as many as any other player.
Meanwhile, Bayern are 12121/1 to win the Champions League this season, with Barcelona priced at 12121/1 and holders Real Madrid 4/6.
