Former England coach Roy Hodgson believes Wayne Rooney can revive his international career at Everton.
Rooney left Manchester United for Everton last month.
"I don't think he's over the hill," said Hodgson. "He's certainly way up the hill. You can't deny the fact that he actually got up there.
"When you're there, if you want to keep your place in a top Premier League team and be an England player you've got to produce the goods every week, and he couldn't do that at Manchester United because he wasn't being selected.
"I'm pleased he's somewhere he's going to play again - and back to his hometown club, great move."
