Huddersfield Town have expressed interest in Ghana and Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu.

The newly-promoted English Premier League side are in the process of strengthening their squad ahead of their top-flight campaign.

The Magpies are considering an offer for the talented Ghanaian, whose future at St James' Park is unclear following the imminent arrival of Belgium international Anthony  Limbombe.

It's been reported that the Magpies are pondering over shipping out the Ghanaian to make way for the Belgian who scored six goals and provided seven assists for Club Brugge last season.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner is believed to be a huge admirer of the African star and will swoop for his services in the ongoing transfer window.

The 26-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract at Newcastle, but coach David Wagner is keen to add him to his roaster after signing Ramadan Sobhi from Stoke.

The Ghanaian scored two goals in 28 appearances for the St James' outfit last season.
