Goalkeeper of the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets Dan Lad Ibrahim says he is in no rush for a Black Stars call up.

The 14 year old was one of the best goalkeepers at the Africa Junior Championship where he conceded only a goal in five games.

This has led to a wide section of the football fraternity wanting the Kotoko youth goalkeeper be included in the Black Stars team. However, Ibrahim says he is not ready for the senior national team.

“I am not in a haste, I am still young and I believe I still have a lot to learn, I have been able to learn a lot from some of my senior colleagues at Kotoko,” he told the media on their arrival to the country on Tuesday.

The Kotoko youth goalkeeper disclosed he has a lot to learn andhe is enjoying the guidance of senior goalkeepers at the Kumasi based club.

“I tried with the likes of Felix Annan, Ernest Sowah, Eric Ofori Antwi and Isaac Amoako. All these goalkeepers have been in the National team before and they have thought me a lot.

“I am not ready for Black Stars now, I need to keep working hard and try and improve my performance all the time.

“I believe at the right time, I will get a call-up but for now I am still learning.”

Dan Lad Ibrahim helped the Black Starlets to a second place finish in Gabon and is looking forward to a good world cup in India later this year.
