I want Ghanaians to support Egypt at the World Cup- Richard Kingston

Goalkeeper’s trainer of the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana, Richard “Olele” Kingston has asked Ghanaians to support Egypt at the FIFA World Cup next summer.

Egypt beat Ghana to the sole ticket in group E of the African qualifiers, after topping the standings.

The Pharaoh’s qualified for the mundial for the first time since 1990 after beating Congo 2-1 in Alexandria before holding Ghana to a 1-1 draw in Cape Coast.

After the game, former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingston praised the Egyptian team and added that Ghanainas should support them at the World Cup.

“The Egyptian National team is a good team, they are very disciplined and have lots of talents,” Kingston reiterated.

“I want Ghanaians to support them at the World Cup, they are going to represent Africa so I will like every Ghanaian to support them.

“I know they will do well and go far in the competition and I wish them all the best.”

The Black Stars failed to qualify for the World Cup after three consecutive appearances since 2006.
