I want to win trophies at Slovan Bratislava - Ghanaian-born Dutch defender Mitch Apau

Slovakian Club Slovan have signed Ghanaian-born Dutch right-back Mitch Apau.

Apau, 28,  signed a two-year contract with the Sky blues from Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana after making 36 appearances and scoring once for the club.

The defender spent only one season with Olimpija Ljubljana and was a key cog for The Dragons.

Fresh from penning his contract, the former Veendam says he is happy to join Slovan Bratislava and assured to help the club win trophies.

“I am very happy to be part of this big club," he said.

"Last year, I won double in Slovenia."

"My goal is to win trophies and that´s the reason, why I am here."

"I already saw the new stadium of Slovan, it's going to be beautiful."

"I will do my best to make fans happy and help the club to successes.”

Mitch has previously played for Dutch sides SC Veendam and RKC Waalwijk, Belgian club Westerlo before leaving to join Olimpija Ljubljana.
