Accra Great Olympics teenage goalkeeper Ebenezer Odonkor says he wishes to become as great as ex-Ghana goalie Richard Kingson.

The 18-year-old goalkeeper has been exciting with his splendid performance for his Club in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

Having warmed the bench in the team’s first two games, Odonkor has eventually become the preferred choice for Coach Godwin Attram ousting experienced Osei Boateng from the starting line-up.

The youngster in an interview with Frank Darkwah of Ghanasportsonline.com says he draws inspiration from the former Black Stars goalkeeper (Kingson).

“I went to meet him (Richard Kingson) at Olympics; he trained us and told us things you need to do to become a good goalkeeper, “he said.

“I see him as my role model, he is like a big brother to me and I always call him for advice.

“I watched him when he was playing for the Black Stars and I always wished to become like him.”

The 18-year-old could be in post for Olympics when they take on Medeama on Saturday.
