Black Stars winger Christian Atsu says he is not focused on personal glory at the upcoming AFCON to be played in Gabon next month. Atsu noted that his main priority in the tournament is to help his country end their 34-year wait for the AFCON competition by winning next year's edition. The Newcastle United loanee was adjuged the Best Player of the previous AFCON edition despite losing on penalties to Cote d'Ivoire in the final of the tournament. In an interview with Starr FM, “I am not aiming at personal glory but we will work as a team to achieve the ultimate". “ I know I did well for the team two years ago and won the best player, but this time around I want to help the team to win the trophy, winning the best player without the trophy is no achievement for me. “So my main target is to help the team to win the title this time around, is been a long time we won the AFCON trophy,” he added.
