Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu will miss the start of this season's Italian Serie A due to injury.
The 27-year old who has been training with Udinese in preseason picked up a knee injury last week.
Badu is expected to be out up to seven weeks after undergoing a surgery.
"I had to do the surgery to correct it otherwise I will be playing through pain," he told GHANAsoccernet.com
"I am currently here in Austria undergoing rehabilitation."
Agyemang Badu has returned to Udinese after a successful loan spell at Turkish side Bursapor.
