The medical team of the Ghana national under-17 team says defender Abdul Razak Yussif will be released from the hospital tomorrow after he was cleared to have not suffered any head injuries.

The player has been admitted at the Fortis Escort Heart hospital in New Delhi after colliding with U.S.A captain Josh Sergent in Ghana’s 1-0 defeat on Monday.

The defender could not last the entire game and had to be rushed to the hospital.

After several medical examinations, the player has been cleared of any head injuries and will be released from the hospital on Wednesday.

The Ghana Football Association posted on Social Media,"GFA medics say Yussif could be released tomorrow as he suffered no head injuries following the concussion he had after the clash of heads."

However, Yussif has been ruled out of the final game against India on Thursday with Dreams FC defender John Out set to replace him.

The Black Starlets will need a win in the final group game on Thursday to progress to the next stage of the competition.
