Inter Allies sensation Abdul Halik unconcerned about defending most promising player accolade

Inter Allies youngster Abdul Halik-Hudu says he is not eager to retain the Most Promising Player accolade after ending the season on a high note.

The youngster was named man of the match in the final game of the season against Accra Hearts of Oak.

And he has been instrumental for the club in helping them avoids relegation after placing 13th on the table just a point above the drop.

The 18 year old did not start the season on a positive and had trials with Swedish side Hammarby at the beginning of the season but he indicated that he was excited with the finish to the season.

“I didn’t really start the season well, but as time went on I was able to do well for myself,” he spoke to the media.

“I am happy with my performance, I think it was okay, but am not eager to win the title, if it happens am able to win then it will be a plus.”

The youngster might be contending with teammate Abdul Nasiru Hamzah for the most promising player award.
