It worries me Black Stars have failed to win AFCON under my tenure - GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi

The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has broken his silence on Black Stars failure to break the country's 34 years trophyless jinx.

The Black Stars won their last Africa Cup of Nations in 1982 and have been struggling to win the trophy again.

In Angola 2010, the Stars were at the finals in the AFCON but lost to Egypt by a lone goal to nothing but lost to Ivory Coast on penalties in the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guniea under the leadership of the Wa All Stars financier.

And the CAF 1st vice president is worried the country have not had a feel of the trophy since 1982.

"It worries me that Black Stars have still not won any AFCON in my tenure," he told Zylofon FM.

Kwesi Appiah who is the head coach of the Black Stars has been charged to win the Africa Cup of Nations that will be held in Cameroon next year.
