James Rodriguez has told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez he will leave if coach Zinedine Zidane remains in charge.

James has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United just this week.

And Spanish pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, revealed the Colombian has made his feelings known to Perez.

"Last week there was a chat, after training, between James Rodriguez and Florentino Perez and they talked about the future.

"The president asked what he was going to do, the club's intention is to keep him, but Zidane does not want him to continue. James asked if he was going to continue with Zidane and Florentino said yes, then James said: 'If Zidane continues, I will not'."

Inda continued: "The relationship between them is good, but Jorge Mendes, who is the agent of the player, is already looking for a team. He is likely to end up in England and could end up in Manchester United if (David) De Gea moves to Real Madrid."
