Ghana defender Jeffery Schlupp played a vital role as Crystal Palace stun Watford with a late win to move out of relegation zone.

The Ghanaian lasted the entire duration and was solid on the left side of defence providing width in attack.

The Eagles moved off the bottom and out of the Premier League relegation zone with a sensational late rally to see off 10-man Watford 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Dutch defender Daryl Janmaat's fourth-minute goal for the Hornets looked to have been decisive, but Tom Cleverley's sending off three minutes from time switched the momentum and Palace substitutes Bakary Sako and James McArthur struck to complete the turnaround.

Both goals were provided by the dogged Wilfried Zaha, who dazzled once again in front of his home fans in a game where Palace failed to register a shot on target for the first 88 minutes.

Meanwhile, Timothy Fosu- Mensah was replaced in the 70th minute by James McArthr who fetched the equalizer.

Jeffery Schlupp has been a regular for the Eagles since the arrival of former England manager Roy Hudson inspiring the club to another victory.
