Jerome Boateng opens up on love for Ghana

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has revealed his affection for his Africa lineage, Ghana. 

The Germany defender says he has love for his African heritage and love Ghana, the country of his father. Born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father, the player is yet to visit Ghana despite coming to Africa once in his lifetime.

The strong defender has a tattoo of Africa and Ghana on his left arm, and in an interview, he revealed, he has love for the continent.

“ The tattoo started when was I was 16 years old. I was with my two older brothers and they said today we are all going to do the same tattoo but don’t tell your mother so we all went and have our bodies tattooed. It was the continent of Africa a with Ghana inside”, he said.

The junior brother of Ghana international KP Boateng, Jerome also disclosed that he will visit Ghana during the summer with his family.

“I have been to Africa but I didn’t go to Ghana. I will go there this summer with my daughters and family members”.

Jerome Boateng, is a world cup winner with Germany, his senior brother Kevin Prince opted to play for the Black Stars of Ghana for the World Cup's in South Africa and Brazil.
