Defender Jerry Akaminko joined the Black Stars for the first time in 3 years following his long lay off due to injury prior to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Akaminko was named in Kwesi Appiah's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia slated for Sunday June 11.

The 29-year-old defender who plays for Turkish club Eskişehirspor, joined camp on Tuesday for the first time.

Kwesi Appiah and his charges begun a non-residential camping in Accra on Wednesday before flying out to Kumasi on Monday to intensify preparations ahead of the game.
