Ghana defender John Boye says he is happy with his move to French second division side Metz.
Boye completed a two year deal to the side following the expiration of his contract with Turkish side Sivasspor.
The 31- year old who becomes the first signing for Metz ahead of the new season wants to repay the club for the chance given him.
"I am happy to be here and want to thank the team for the trust they have had in me," he said
"This is the time to pay the club back with the trust and i will perform at the highest level to put the club back to where they deserve.
"For me this is not the first time i am playing here in France so i feel at home and already i am set to go."
John Boye's move to Metz takes him back to where he started before moving to Turkey. He previously played for Ligue I side Stade Rennes.
