Ghanaian international defender, John Paintsil, is planning to give back to children in Africa to show appreciation for the support he received from the continent over the years in his career.

The former Black Stars player yesterday through the Paintsil Peace Kids Project(PPKP) yesterday issued a statement for their upcoming events in South Africa slated for June 16 which will have Abedi Pele and Asamoah Gyan in attendance.

The statement read, "1st SA Leg of Paintsil Peace Kids Project (PPKP) will be setting Durban in KZN ablaze, as they unleash their 1st SA leg of the football fiesta at the Moses Mabhida stadium on 18 June 2016.

"This 3 day tour will start on 16 June in Umtata, Eastern Cape and finish on match day 18 June 2016.

"The PPKP was established by the Ghanaian International John Paintsil, former H. Tel Aviv, West Ham and Fulham defender. The project is open to children across the African continent".

Paintsil, the founder of the PPKP fiesta says this event is much bigger and better than any other football fiesta.

The team is made up of professional footballers from different parts of the African continent and some PSL Players. This team will be playing against media houses and celebrities.

The entertainment line-up consists of the hottest artists and DJs that Mzansi can offer, and with international guests such as Abedi Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Siyabonga Nkosi, Robert Marawa and Kwaisey Pee.

The PPKP have confirmed that event has been planned to start on June 16 in Mvezo (The birthplace of Nelson Mandela).

The project will also coincide with the Mvezo Youth Tournaments prize-giving ceremony which has been running for past 7 years.

Having travelled to different countries around the world and played for some of the big teams, Paintsil came back to Africa where he had stints at Santos and Maritzburg United in South Africa.
