Swansea City midfielder Andy King has stated the importance of forward Jordan Ayew to the club, insisting the Ghanaian can be key for the Welsh Club.
The Welsh Club sit just five points from relegation and Ayew who returned from suspension over the weekend scored as Swansea draw with Everton.
Jordan Ayew is the club's top scorer this season, netting 11 times for the club and has been remarkable since the appointment of Portuguese manager Carlos Carvahal.
Midfielder Andy King, who joined from Leicester City in January believes Jordan Ayew can be the key figure in their battle to stay up in the English Premier League.
“Jordan’s been brilliant, not just with his goals but also his work-rate and everything else he brings to the team,” the Welsh international midfielder said.
“We were all pleased to see him score in his first game back.
“Hopefully, he can stay fit and keep scoring between now and the end of the season. He has shown he has the quality to do that and his goals have been important for us.”
Swansea City have been rejuvenated since the appointment of Portuguese manager Carlos Carvahal who has made Ayew a cult hero at the club after asking him to assume the leadership role.
