Ghana striker Jordan Ayew lasted the entire regulation minutes for Swansea City in their 0-0 stalemate against Southampton in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Ayew got off to a flying start for Swansea but he was curtailed by the strong defends of Southampton in a game which produced lots of goal scoring opportunities.

Southampton created the best chances to win the game with 28 shots on target and came the closest to breaking the deadlock when Manolo Gabbiadini clipped the top of the bar with a smart header.

Maya Yoshida headed over from just four-yards out before substitute Charlie Austin hit the ball into the side netting as both sides had to settle for a point.
