Ghana international Jordan Ayew scored on Wednesday night as Aston Villa continued their unbeaten start to pre-season with a 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium. The Black Stars striker who has been linked to several moves away from the relegated English side, opened the scoring in the 41st minute with a neat finish against Bristol Rovers. But it wasn’t enough on a chilly night as Matt Taylor fired past Mark Bunn late on to ensure parity for the Pirates. The draw followed victories over Telford and Worcester at the weekend and an 8-0 training match victory over GAK Graz in Austria.
