Midfielder Jordan Opoku is set to rejoin Kumasi Asante Kotoko after following his return to the country after spells abroad.

The former Berekum Chelsea midfielder trained with the FA Cup holders on Monday and he is expected to sign a year deal.

The 30 year old's experience would be needed for the CAF Confederations Cup next season following the Porcupine Warriors triumph in the MTN FA Cup last season.

Jordan was part of the Berekum Chelsea team that reached the group stages of the CAF Champions League in 2012 before returning to Kotoko in 2013.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have started preseason training and are preparing for the upcoming season.

Kotoko will be involved in four competitions next season including defending the FA Cup and playing in Africa.

Coach Steve Pollack has sent in a request for the management of the club to sign five players for the club before the start of next season.

The Kumasi based giants have confirmed they will participate in the GHALCA G8 tournament.
