Juventus Midfielder Roberto Pereyra Seeking Napoli Switch Claims Star's Agent

Published on: 14 July 2016

Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra is looking to bring an immediate end to his time in Turin, in favour of a move to Serie A rivals Napoli, according to his agent Sergio Furlan.

Speaking to CalcioNapoli24, Furlan revealed that the Argentinean has grown frustrated at Juventus and is seeking pastures new.

The 25-year-old joined the Old Lady in 2014 from Udinese, however the former youth international made just nine starts under Massimilano Allegri last season.

Following Miralem Pjanic's arrival in Turin from Roma, Pereyra's future at the club has been questioned further.

It is believed that Juventus are keen to recoup some of the £26m they spent on the former Roma man, with the sale of Pereyra seen as a way to narrow the losses.

With the player eager to increase his playing time, Furlon has revealed that the ball is in Napoli's court now.

"I'm waiting for a call from (Napoli director) Cristiano Giuntoli to meet up around a table in Milan and discuss the situation."

It would appear that negotiations will not be easy however, with a problematic situation arising regarding Pereyra's image rights.

"There are a few problems with image rights, but we knew that would always be something to consider with Napoli. We'll try to resolve the situation."

With a move seemingto suit all parties concerned, Pereyra's move away from Turin appears to be a matter of time.

"Juve and Napoli are talking now. Roberto really likes the idea of moving to Napoli and we hope it can all be resolved in the best way."
