Real Madrid's front-three failed to score last night as they secured a 3-1 victory over Italian sideNapoli thatresulted in an easy passage through to the quarter finals of the this season's Champions League.

Karim Benzema was quick to point out that the star studded attacking trio take criticism personally when they fail to hit the goal scoring heights that are expected from them.

Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have formed one of themost dangerous attacking three in recent times and are pivotalto the Madrid side winning games - however, as mentioned, they failed to find the net in the victory overNapoli.

The Frenchman believes that they offer more than just goals however and has admitted that the criticism is often the cause of frustration to them.

"Of course it bothers us. We do not just make goals, we do a lot of work for the whole team,"said Benzema viaDaily Mail.

"When there is a difficult match they always point us out. We work to win.

"We do not have time to talk about such things. We just work."

Speaking after the game, Ramos acknowledged that his side have a lot of work to do if they are to become the first side to successfully defend a Champions League title.

"I'm happy that I scored in a critical moment of the match, when we were suffering. But above all it was as a team that we got through,' Ramos said.

"We need to reflect now on things, they dominated for nearly the entire first half. We really suffered. We'll take time now to think about things calmly."

Next up for Zinedine Zidane's side is a La Liga clash with Real Betis on Sunday.
