Kotoko beat All Stars 1-0 in Kumasi, Hearts- Liberty Share spoils in Accra

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated premier league leaders Wa All Stars 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in a match day 17 Ghana Premier League fixture.

Amos Frimpong's second half goal was enough to earn Kotoko full spoils against a resilient All Stars side as the Porcupines closed in on top spot.

The goal was also captain Amos Frimpong's second in successive games following the one he got at Techiman last Sunday.

In Accra, Hearts coach Sergio Traguil was in the dugout as his side drew 1-1 with Liberty Professionals.

The Phobians got the match opener through striker Cosmos Dauda in the 33rd minute before Liberty leveled in the second half through Bernard Arthur.

The Dansoman based side finished the game with ten men after Bernard Arthur received his second yellow card following a needless tackle on Hearts skipper Robin Gnagne.

In other games, Berekum Chelsea defeated Inter Allies 2-0 at the Berekum Golden City Park, Aduana hit three past Ebusua Dwarfs at the Dormaa Park.

In Dawu, Dreams FC bounced back to winning ways following a 2-0 win over New Edubiase with Ashgold also beating Techiman City 2-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
