Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong optimistic of winning African trophy as the club marks it 81 anniversary

Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has revealed that they will do anything to ensure that they win African trophy for the Porcupine Warriors.

During the 81st Anniversary celebration Frimpong spoke on behalf of the players promised the team and the supporters that they (the players) will not hesitate to leave the club next year.

“On behalf of the players, what we have to say is we ask you to forgive us that our performances have not been up to your expectations this season.” Amos told the media.

“So, I will use this opportunity to apologize to all Kotoko supporters and to urge you to supports us in prayers with the rest of the 3 matches of the league to finish on a very good note”.

“The Managements have said a lot and we (the players) have taken it on a good note. We will make sure we stay to play and win Africa trophy for Asante Kotoko”. He added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have won the CAF Champions League on two occasions being 1970 and 1983 champions and are looking forward to make it three on their next appearance.
