Kotoko coach claims to have found solution to club's goal scoring drought
Michael Osei - Kotoko

The head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko , Michael Osei says he has developed strategies and tactics to address the acute goal scoring drought which has hit the club hoping to deploy them for the remaining three games for the season.

Coach Osei has been lamenting the team’s poor conversion rate during their Premier League games especially in this second round.

In an interview yesterday, Osei assured Kotoko fans that he would reverse the trend and get the team back to winning ways starting from Sunday.

Kotoko’s failure to convert the numerous chances they create in their games have been manifested in their inability to win at home against Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

“We are currently focused on training the players to improve their shooting . We are implementing new techniques to help them work on their goal scoring abilities which I think would help us in the remaining three matches.”

Our goal scoring rate has dropped and I think it has affected our ability to clinch the league title”, he added.

He disclosed that the Porcupine Warriors would be playing a friendly today to experiment on his new goal scoring drill.

Kotoko are currently third on the league log with 42 points but six points behind league leaders, Wa All Stars, who have accumulated 48 points bu the technical head of the Porcupine Warriors believes a win over Medeama on September 15 would be a psychologica boost towards winning the title.
