Kotoko coach lauds Ahmed Adams

Centre back, Ahmed Adams has earned the praise of interim head coach, Michael Osei for agreeing to return to Kotoko camp despite being named in the home based Black Stars squad due to leave for Japan for a friendly international match.

At a press conference on the Kotoko-Dwarfs match late Friday evening, Coach Michael Osei lauded the decision of Adams saying that, the defender has shown great love because he could have easily stayed at the national camp regardless of management’s call on him to return.

“I’ve to commend Adams” said Michael. “He’s done so well. We wanted him to stay back. We wanted him to return to our fold. We had a situation on hands; there have been suspensions and injuries setting into the team” said Michael Osei.

“Evans Quao has been suspended. Edwin Tuffour is also suspended and Osei Agyeman is yet to fully recover. So in central defence, we were left with Ohene Brenya only; that’s why we called on Coach Maxwell Konadu to release Adams; he did and Adams accepted to join us foregoing the Japan trip and all that comes with it” said Michael Osei.

At the team’s training session on Friday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asantekotokosc.com spotted Ahmed Adams training with his teammates. He’s expected to partner Ohene Brenya in Sunday’s match day 11 league fixture against Dwarfs.
