Kotoko Coach Steve Pollack eyes GHALCA G8 trophy

Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steve Pollack has set sights on winning the GHALCA G8 tournament despite a shaky start to the tournament.

The Porcupine Warriors struggled to beat Ghana Premier League new comers Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday.

Obed Owusu score a 35 minute goal to secure the Reds all three points but struggled most part of the game, with Eleven Wonders coming close to getting an equalizer in the second half.

However, Coah Steve Pollack is not worried about the manner of the win but insists they are taking each game at a time.

“We have to take one game at time. I won this tournament before and it’s a trophy, and as coach you would like to win any trophy available and as I said before we have to take one game at a time and hopefully we can get to through the group stages to the semi-finals,” Polack said in an interview.

The English tactician led the Club to FA Cup success last season and wants to win the off season tournament as the club prepares for a tough campaign in Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederations Cup next season.

Meanwhile, Kotoko will face Dreams FC on Thursday in the second game of the GHALCA G8.
