Kumasi Asante Kotoko skipper Amos Frimpong has described his side’s Premier League encounter against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday as a “pay-back” fixture.

The Porcupine Warriors aim at a sweet revenge of the 0-3 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Berekum lads at Berekum last season.

The two will clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in a crucial Premier League encounter on Sunday.

According to Frimpong, the playing body of Kotoko is still disappointed by that heavy defeat, which he said ended their dreams of winning last season’s Premier league trophy when the porcupine warriors dropped to the 10th position on the League log after the defeat.

Berekum Chelsea secured another 2-0 victory over the Porcupine Warriors in their first round encounter at the Golden City Park at Berekum and Frimpong is urging his teammates to go all out to exact a resounding victory over their visitors.

“We have been waiting for this fixture for a very long time. It’s going to be a difficult game for us but trust me, we are ready to avenge that 0-3 we suffered last season.

“We are very much aware of the threat they will pose but we still have to cope with that.

Any team in the top four has the chance of clinching the trophy so we have to win our games if we should stand a chance to win the title. We need to start winning now and I believe we will start on Sunday,” he added.
