The Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko have asked General Manager Opoku Nti to stay on till the end of the season despite the expiration of his contract.
The club legend who was appointed in an acting capacity in 2013 after Dr KK Sarpong stepped down as Executive Chairman contract will end this month.
He has been directed by the board to put together his handing over notes and stay on and supervise the affairs of the team till end of the season.
According to the board, Nti must write formally to accept their decision of overseeing the activities of the club as proposed.
Opoku Nti has therefore been told not to contract out or sign any player without reference to the board.
