Kotoko midfielder Mohammed Sylla happy to be settling in well

Kumasi Asante Kotoko's Ivorian import Mohammed Vie Sylla says he is ‘happy’ to have won his first man of the match award at Kotoko and says he has hit the ground running because of the understanding between him and his colleagues.

He was adjudged the best player on the pitch in Kotoko's win over Eleven Wonders in the Porcupine Warriors' GHALCA G-8 opener.

The newly signed French speaking player, who does not know a word of the English language, struggled in his debut game in the 60th Anniversary Cup match against Hearts of Oak.

He was however phenomenal against Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday, showing good ball control, great passing quality, surging runs, good dribbling ability and good defensive quality.

“I am very happy”, said the offensive midfielder at the post-match conference whilst speaking through a translator.

“Everything is going on well. They speak English and I speak French but everything is ok. They understand my game and I also understand their game. It’s normal to struggle at the initial stages but everything would go on well with time. Every match has its own dimensions. If the first game doesn’t go well, the second game can go well and that was what happened today."
