Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with defender Evans Quao, according to reports.

The former Medeama player has struggled during his time with the former Ghana Premier League champions and has been deemed surplus to requirements at the club.

According information gathered by footballghana.com, the 27 year old is not part of Coach Steve Pollack's plans and hence will have to look elsewhere for playing time.

Quao, has struggled with injuries and lack of form but it is believed the strong defender could reunite with former club Medeama SC.

The porcupine Warriors have started preseason already.

Having won the MTN FA Cup last season, the reds will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.

Meanwhile, the club has been linked with former stars Jordan Opoku and Daniel Nii Adjei in the quest to add experience to their side for Africa.
