Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Obed Owusu says he will fight for the club to excel in the Ghana Premier League.
The forward who has seen a lot of backlash for his poor rate of scoring has already bagged in two goals this season and believes he is gradually returning to the state that endeared him to the fans of the club.
Obed Owusu scored a half volley to help Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 in match day six of the current campaign.
He was also got the only goal that won Kotoko the game against Inter Allies in Kumasi. The strong forward believes there is more under his sleeves this season.
"Anytime i get a chance to be in the team, I will do all can to help the team, create chances and score for the club. I have to fight for my team. So when you do things like that it help us win games," he said in the post match interview.
"I have to lift up my performances, making sure I will do well because if you playing and you are not performing, you always have problems. So you have to fight and that is what I'm doing making sure I do my best like I use to do before, trying to fight for the team."
The Porcupine Warriors are just three points adrift of leaders Ashantigold after the win in midweek.
