Kotoko striker Saddick Adams applauds Black Starlets after progress at FIFA World Cup

Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Saddich Adams has congratulated the Black Starlets after making progress to the round of 16 at the FIFA under-17 world Cup in India.

The Black Starlets beat India 4-0 on Thursday to top group A. Captain Eric Ayiah scored twice before his replacement in the game Richard Danso scored one and winger Emmanuel Toku added the final with a fine finish.

Saddick Adams, a former lack Starlets player posted on Social Media to congratulate the boys, "Congratulations to the Ghana un17 team for making it to the next stage of the competition "...This is where life of football begins.”

The Kotoko striker was part of the team that finished fourth at the World Cup in South Korea, 2007.

The 26 year old was full of promise and had an opportunity to join Athletico Madrid after the competition but the deal broke down after he had already signed for Etoile Du Sahel.

The powerful striker is back in the Ghana Premier League, where he has propelled Kumasi Asante Kotoko to the FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, the Black Starlets will find out their opponents in the round of 16 after the first round of games.
