Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Saddick Adams insists the club were unlucky after missing three penalties in their 1-0 win over CARA Brazzaville at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Ghanaian giants missed three penalties in a game that they were awarded four from the spot. Saddick Adams missed the first, before Amos Frimpong and Baba Mahama missed in the crucial encounter.
However, second half substitute Yakubu Mohammed slotted in the fourth penalty to hand the porcupine Warriors victory.
Meanwhile, Saddick Adams who was bemused by the opportunities missed indicated they were unlucky.
"The character ,the desire,the team work and the determination was there just a little bit of goodluck was lost but in the end that was good performance guys, we never give up until is over .Thanks to the fans also for such support yesterday ...we can..still faabu," he posted on twitter.
The Porcupine Warriors will head to Congo in a fortnight time, knowing a high scoring defeat will ruin their progress in the competition but a goal scoring draw or a scoreless draw will see them through.
Kotoko were in the finals of the maiden edition of the Confederations Cup, a game they lost to bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak but have struggled to go beyond the first round of the continental tournament in recent years.
