Asante Kotoko SC Ashanti Regional Circles Committee chairman Mr. Benjamin Obeng Sekyere has been fined an amount of GHc2000.00 and asked to apologise officially to the Life Patron of Aduana Stars FC for comments he made after the Ghana Premier League match between Hearts of Oak SC and Asante Kotoko SC in Accra last month.
Mr. Sekyere made unacceptable comments on radio about the Life Patron of Aduana Stars, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman, after their 1-0 loss to Hearts, of which he rendered an unqualified apology a few days later.
The Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association have tasked him to write an apology to the Omanhene Dormaa Traditional area within 14 days ,to serve as a deterrent to all club officials and supporters leaders and other stakeholders.
In other development, Asante Kotoko SC have been fined an amount of GHc 5000 for the misconduct of their supporters in respect the same match after they threw missiles onto the pitch after they lost 1-0 to the Phobians.
