Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyemfi to miss GHALCA G8 opener due to illness

Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyemfi could miss the GHALCA G8 opener against new boys Techiman Eleven Wonders due to ill health. 

The winger who was present at the Club's training sat out due to sickness but is expected to make a quick return to action.

However, the player could be excused from the first game if he remains unfit for the match on Sunday.

Emmanuel Gyemfi, who joined from Wa All Stars two seasons ago has been a key member of the side, helping the club win the MTN FA Cup last season and finishing fifth.

The club confirmed the wingers illness posting,"Emmanuel Gyamfi although present at this session, sat it out due to ill-health & is expected to make a quick recovery to join the team before the commencement of the G8 tournament."

Gyemfi has been named in the squads for the GHALCA G8 and the CAF Confederations Cup.
