Kotoko winger Sarfo-Gyamfi wants win against Proud United to salvage image

Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi says they have to win against Proud United in the MTN FA Cup come what may.

The porcupine Warriors have failed to win a game in their last eight matches- losing four and drawing four.

This has led a second change in Coach for the Kumasi based club with Steve Pollack taking over as Head coach.

Meanwhile, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi is optimistic of the club’s chances against the second tier side.

“We’ve to win on Sunday no matter the situation. I believe victory will re-ignite supporters’ interest in the club and strengthen team spirit to spur us on” he said in an interview.

Sarfo Gyamfi and his teammates have come under intense scrutiny from the fans putting pressure on them but the mercurial winger says they are Benton salvaging their image.

“Our image is at stake on Sunday. We’ve to win to protect it. There can’t be any room for failure. I want the fans to remain hopeful and supportive. Definitely things will change starting this Sunday,” he added.
