Kumasi Asante Kotoko crash out of CAF Confederations Cup after losing on penalties to CARA

FA Cup winner Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been booted out of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing on penalties to CARA Brazzaville in Congo. 

The Ghana Premier League side lost 1-0 after regulation time and had to settle the game from the lottery of the spot.

The Porcupine Warriors left Kumasi for Brazzaville with a one goal lead, and began the game on a bright note, creating several chances but goalkeeper Chancel Mbamba the barrier between them and goal.

Striker Franchel Ibara scored for the home side after his shot took a wicked deflection beating Felix Annan.

The game was then tied after two legs and had to be decided from the spots and the Reds lost 7-6 on penalties.

Kwame Boahen, Obed Owusu and Jackson Owusu all missed for the Ghanaian club.
